RCMP are investigating after a Shuswap man’s window was smashed in with a “pet rock.”

The early morning incident at an 800-block Mobley Road residence was reported to police on Saturday, Feb. 24. At the residence, police were shown a broken window and a large rock underneath with the words “Our Pet Rock” painted on it.

Salmon Arm RCMP spokesperson Const. Andrew Hodges said police were provided video surveilance that showed a dark coloured SUV pull into the driveway.

“A female exited the vehicle and walked over to the window,” said Hodges. “The female then used the rock to smash the window and calmly walk back to the vehicle and depart.”

Hodges said the motive behind the incident was unclear, and asked anyone with information about the incident to contact the detachment at 250-832-6044 and reference file 2024-1111.
