RCMP are seeking the public鈥檚 assistance to identity of a man alleged to have robbed a Subway store in late April.
The 91大黄鸭 RCMP were dispatched to a robbery April 30 shortly after 9:30 p.m., at the Subway store located in the 1700 block of Springfield Road. Police have learned that the suspect allegedly stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the open register and fled the store on foot.
鈥淭he store鈥檚 lone employee followed the suspect, and physically confronted the suspect outside the restaurant. It was at this time that the suspect allegedly produced and brandished a knife which prompted the employee to retreat back inside the store,鈥 said Cpl. Jesse O鈥橠onaghey, in a press release.
The employee was uninjured during the encounter. A search of the area conducted by police was negative.
鈥淧olice have since obtained surveillance footage of the suspect inside the restaurant,鈥 says Cpl. Jesse O鈥橠onaghey. 鈥淭he suspect is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 5-foot-10 in height, with short hair, a receding hair line, seen wearing a black T-shirt and dark coloured pants with a reflective stripe around the ankles.鈥
