Slippery conditions on Highway 97 in South Okanagan: DriveBC

No snow but chance of showers in the forecast on Saturday, according to Environment Canada

DriveBC is reporting slippery sections on Highway 97 between Penticton and Okanagan Falls on Saturday, Dec. 14.

Motorists are being warned of the conditions for about 14 kilometres, between White Lake Road — about 5 kilometres north of Okanagan Falls — and Riverside Drive in Penticton.

There are no other road warnings on Highway 97 in the South Okanagan, as of 10:30 a.m. Saturday, according to DriveBC.

On Highway 3 through Osoyoos, between Nighthawk Road and Wagon Wheel Road, drivers are being warned of limited visibility with fog.

Environment Canada is forecasting a 60 per cent chance of showers in the region on Saturday. Daytime temperatures are expected to be around 6C, the federal forecaster added.
