One person can make a difference.

It鈥檚 a simple message that Craig Kielburger, co-founder of the WE organization, delivers to youth and adults all over the world, and on September 16, Kielburger will be delivering that message to 91大黄鸭.

Kielburger will share his story of how he launched a small charity in Thornhill, ON, when he was 12 years old, which today 鈥� more than 20 years later 鈥� is a movement of millions across the globe. As part of the City of 91大黄鸭鈥檚 Canada 150 celebrations, the hour-long motivational speech will focus on the importance of being a socially responsible citizen, and empowering youth to make a difference both locally and globally.

鈥淎s we celebrate 150 years since Confederation, we look to the past as a learning experience, and to the future to aspire to be better. WE is Canada鈥檚 largest youth service organization, and we鈥檙e betting on the selfless idealism of a new generation. We want to ensure that every Canadian child serves their local and global communities,鈥� said Kielburger.

Kielburger has shared the stage with such influential people as His Royal Highness Prince Harry, Malala Yousafzai, and Richard Branson. His words encourage millions of people to overcome daily challenges, effect change, and uncover personal strength.

鈥淎bove all, WE means recognizing that we鈥檙e part of a larger community, and that our daily choices have an impact on that community. Canada was the first country in the world to adopt an official policy of multiculturalism. We strive for diversity and inclusion, with social safety nets, equality and democracy. These systems are not perfect, but at their best they embody Canadians鈥� desire to help our neighbours.鈥�
