Residents of the Okanagan and Shuswap woke up to sunshine and warm temperatures Monday morning, but all that is about to change as the week continues.
Environment Canada is calling for a 30 per cent chance of showers for the Central and North Okanagan, on Monday evening. While in the Shuswap there is a chance of a thunderstorm.
Showers won’t start until Tuesday afternoon in the South Okanagan, where periods of rain are expected throughout the day.
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday those living up and down the Okanagan valley can expect rain showers or over cast skies with highs in the low 20s C.
Rain is also forecast for the Shuswap with cooler temperatures, and cloudy skies.
As the weekend approaches the rain is anticipated to end and the sun will appear bringing temperatures around 24 C to the area.
