Once the centre of the Okanagan Fruit Packing Industry, downtown 91大黄鸭鈥檚 cultural district is now home to artists, performers and beautiful works of public art.

Take a journey through time and discover the cultural district in a new light with a guided walking tour this summer.

The tours run from July 6 to Aug. 26, on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Following a two-kilometre route that begins and ends at the Laurel Packinghouse, explore the rich history of the area, hear stories of the past and present, and explore cultural facilities and parks including Kasugai Gardens, the Okanagan Heritage Museum, and the 91大黄鸭 Art Gallery.

Registration is not required and all tours are free.

鈥淕uided tours are popular with visitors to 91大黄鸭,鈥 said cultural services manager Sandra Kochan. 鈥淏ut even long-time residents will experience some new discoveries about their home town. Our guides are, above all, great storytellers who connect the past with the present.鈥

Enjoy a morning stroll alongside a friendly guide and discover the cultural district. Tours take approximately two hours and depart at the Laurel Packinghouse at 10 a.m. Remember to bring comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen and a hat.
