A new event in the South Okanagan will bring women together for an afternoon of connection, inspiration and generosity.

The Golden Chari-Tea, hosted by the South Okanagan Similkameen Medical Foundation and presenting sponsor Natalie Ferebee Wealth Management, will be held Thursday, June 5 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Poplar Grove Winery.

The event is a fundraiser to raise the remaining $250,000 to finish the oncology centre upgrade at Penticton Regional Hospital. The new facility is set to open in the summer.

The event will include an afternoon tea service at the winery, a fashion show by Mi Amor, guest speakers and a presentation on topics relevant to women鈥檚 health and well-being.

A silent auction and raffle will also be held.

Tickets are $150 each, with a $100 tax receipt provided.

Ferebee said the event supports an important cause.
