91大黄鸭 RCMP responded to a report of suspected drug paraphernalia found at the Rutland Lions Park this weekend, prompting them to issue a warning for parents.
"Our officers attended and found empty packaging typically associated to illegal drug use. Thankfully no actual needles were found," " said Const. Jesse O'Donaghey.
"With the return of warmer weather, the 91大黄鸭 RCMP would simply like to remind parents to be extra observant when attending parks and public spaces with their children, and educate their children on avoiding potentially hazardous items. It's always a best practice to walk the area and search for any hazards before allowing your children to play."
If you locate any illegal substances, or potentially hazardous items feel free to contact the 91大黄鸭 RCMP non-emergency line at 250-762-3300 or the 91大黄鸭 City Bylaws at 250-469-8686.
