B.C. has been experiencing an unusually mild winter. TikToks showing Whistler鈥檚 less than ideal conditions have gotten thousands of views.
While Revelstoke Mountain Resort鈥檚 (RMR) conditions have been better than many of B.C.鈥檚 resorts, RMR did have to delay its opening due to a lack of snow.
2024 Winter Season
What鈥檚 in store for the 2024 season. While it looks like a cold snap is on the horizon, Revelstoke is still experiencing unseasonably mild conditions. Environment Canada is showing the temperature at Revelstoke Airport to be 2 掳C with light rain.
RMR is reporting cloudy conditions with scattered flurries and 5 cm of snow. The alpine temperature is reading -4 掳C and ridge wind Southwest: 25-35 km/h.
According to Environment Canada, light snow is expected Friday, Jan. 5 and Saturday Jan. 6.
