鈥淎 water leak at the Skyline pump station located at Clifton and High Roads has caused electrical issues,鈥� said Kevin Van Vliet, the city 's utility services manager.
鈥淭he pumps which move water uphill into the neighbourhood reservoirs have stopped working.鈥�
Residents are asked to refrain from usual evening activities that use large amounts of water, like dishwashing, bathing and laundry.
The area affected includes about 2,000 homes in the neighbourhoods of Clifton Road, High Pointe, Magic Estates, and Wilden.
鈥淐ity of 91大黄鸭 and FortisBC crews are on site now, working to find a solution," said Van Vliet.
"The reservoirs hold enough water to get us well into the evening, if residents can help out by reducing their regular use. We鈥檒l provide an update as soon as more information is available.
