Due to high water levels and wave action, the City of West 91大黄鸭 is advising users of the Gellatly Walkway to be extremely careful along the section of lakeside pathway between the former CNR Wharf, sometimes referred to as the 鈥渙ld ferry dock鈥, and Willow Beach.
City staff said Friday they have consulted with an engineer regarding high water and wave action, which are eroding sections of the pathway. Staff have been advised that the pathway can remain open for now, provided the areas impacted by waves and high water are clearly marked as off limits.
The public is asked to obey signs in the area and to stay clear of all marked hazard areas.
Use caution on the observation decks along the path as waves may lap up causing them to be slippery.
The City of West 91大黄鸭 also advises the public that if lake waters continue to rise substantially and wave action continues to erode the path, the section of walkway may need to be closed at a moment鈥檚 notice.
