West 91大黄鸭 RCMP are encouraging local residents to secure their vehicles, remove any valuables from inside and report suspicious persons and activities to police.

That warning follows a rash of automobile  break-ins over a two week period, as 21 police files for reports of thefts being committed from vehicles across the City of West 91大黄鸭 have been registered, stretching from Glenrosa to Roe Valley to Lakeview Heights.

Police say thieves appear to have been targeting vehicles in both residential and business/commercial areas throughout the city.

鈥淩CMP continue to remind vehicle owners to lock their vehicles, as the majority of those targeted had been left insecure and at times with windows down,鈥� said  Cst. Jesse O鈥橠onaghey. 鈥淚n most cases the thefts appear to have been committed overnight, however some thefts occurred while vehicles were left parked temporarily in store parking lots or at the beach,鈥� he adds.

Investigators have seen typical items taken from vehicles鈥攑urses, wallets, identification, credit/debit cards, cash, loose change, GPS devices, digital cameras, cellular phones, tablets, jewelry, insurance documents, licence plates and sunglasses.

In other cases, officers have learned that thieves have gone as far as taking items of clothing, a wall clock, darts, a lunch kit and even the head lights and tail lights attached to a vehicle.
