RCMP wish to quickly re-unite theft victim with their mobility device after a senseless Wednesday afternoon crime.
The West 91大黄鸭 RCMP responded Oct. 26 at 3:04 p.m., to a theft complaint at the Walmart store located on Louie Drive. Police have determined that a suspect stole a customer鈥檚 personalized wheelchair while the victim shopped using one of the stores motorized shopping carts.
The stolen Helio A7 aluminum wheelchair is similar to the attached photograph, however it is completely black, has polymer type rims with as many as 6 thicker spokes, an upgraded seat cushion, the foot rests have been removed and the brand name 鈥淢otion Composites鈥 printed on the rear of the back rest. It's valued by its owner at approximately $3,000.
鈥淩CMP would like to quickly re-unite the victim, of this senseless crime, with his much needed mobility device,鈥 said Cpl. Jesse O鈥橠onaghey, in a press release.
鈥淲e urge the person who took the chair to drop it off at any RCMP detachment or simply return it to the store."
Investigators are in the process of obtaining video surveillance footage from the store which shows the thief caught in the act.
