In Loving Memory ~
It is with profound sadness that the family of Edward Krahn announces his peaceful passing on September 8, 2023, at the age of eighty-eight years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of sixty-seven years, Patricia; children: Jim, Brenda, and Valerie; grandchildren who, with tears, say, "See you in the Soup Grandpa": Katie, Erin, Heather, Amanda, Stephanie, Blair, Adam, and Jessica; great-grandchildren: Emery, Lucas, Madalyn, Kennedy, Elizabeth, Dahlia, Violet, Callen, Saskia, and Warek; dear brothers, Jack and Richard; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
He will also be missed by his close friends Steve and Anne.
Ed's sense of humour, humanitarian spirit, and generosity as a host touched the world and made us better people. He was born in a farm setting in Hague, Saskatchewan, on January 29, 1935. He met his wife Patricia on a blind date in 1955 in Chilliwack, and they were lovingly married.
He began his entrepreneurial journey as a co-founder of Cannor Nurseries and went into the jewellery business for thirty-five years, during which he became a gemologist. Ed loved the small orchard he cultivated in East 91大黄鸭 for seventeen years. He also ventured into the wild to own and manage Beaver Lake Lodge with Patricia.
Ed formed a group of ten individuals who bought Dee Lake Lodge to share the joy of nature with family and friends. He contributed with his companions in the 91大黄鸭 Kinsman/K-40 club for sixty-eight years.
Ed and Pat enjoyed extensive international travels. Our family is sincerely grateful to his team at 91大黄鸭 General Hospital and, especially, to Dr. Azim and Dr. Ali for their expertise and deep compassion.
"And now, the end is here
And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain
I've lived a life that's full
I traveled each and every highway
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way"
