February 28, 1921 - July 25, 2018
Elizabeth Ruth Cassie, born Feb. 28, 1921, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2018 at the age of 97. Ruth was predeceased by her husband William (Bill) Cassie in 1992; her parents, Norman and Elsie Stewart; and her siblings, Gordon (Mabel), Colin (Doris), and Russel.

Left to remember Ruth are her sister-in-law Bernice Stewart, niece Marion Meredith (Bob), numerous other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, as well as many friends.

Born and raised in Vancouver, Ruth worked for a Bible Store and at Air Canada. Later she and her husband Bill moved to the Kootenays and lived in Wynndel, BC for several years before moving to 91大黄鸭.

Ruth was very active in her church wherever she lived and made many lasting friendships. In her last few years Ruth lived at Brookhaven Care Centre in West 91大黄鸭 where she was given excellent care by the staff there. Ruth will be lovingly remembered for her sense of humour, her beautiful smile, and her devotion to her Lord, her family and friends.

A memorial service for Ruth will be held later in the fall at Evangel Church in 91大黄鸭, BC.
