A pair of Penticton Vees are getting the attention of amateur scouts with six months to go before the 2025 NHL draft.
Current Vees forward Max Heise and Francesco Dell鈥橢lce, a defenceman who played for Penticton last season, are both included on Central Scouting's midterm rankings for North American skaters.
Heise, who has 16 goals in 31 games with Penticton this season, is ranked No. 200 on the list and projected as a seventh-round pick.
Now in his second year of NHL draft eligibility, the forward is one of four current BCHL players to crack the midterm rankings.
Dell鈥橢lce, who played with the Vees in 2023-2024 before jumping to the University of Massachusetts this season, is slated as a potential third-round pick at the upcoming NHL draft. The 20-year-old defenceman is ranked No. 91 among all North American skaters.
The King City, Ont., product posted 38 points in 54 BCHL regular-season games last season, helping the Vees reach the Fred Page Cup Finals.
Dell鈥橢lce is shining on the blue line with his new team this season, collecting 14 points in 21 NCAA contests.
NHL Central Scouting will release its final rankings in April.
The 2025 NHL draft is set for Los Angeles on June 27 and 28.
Heise and the Vees are back in action on Jan. 24, as they head to Alberta to battle the Brooks Bandits.
