A volleyball match for kindness is coming back to Vernon.

The Kindness Always Wins fundraising match will take place at Fulton Secondary on Tuesday, Dec. 17, with first serve at 7 p.m.

In support of the Emily Dahl Foundation, players from the Beyond Sports Volleyball Academy will be competing.

"This gives the entire community a chance to come to feel the incredible energy of love and kindness," said organizer Sherman Dahl. "The athletes, the coaches, along with all the families and friends make this annual event absolutely incredible."

Emily Dahl died at the age of 18 from suicide. Since her death in 2019, the foundation's goal has been to promote joy and love and to find a deeper meaning in life.

"At all times we must all support each other in the practice of kindness and take care of each other," said Dahl. "Our practice is not an individual practice. We practice with other people, we practice with all our families, friends and even those we have never met."

More information on the foundation can be found at  You can purchase kindness wristbands for a donation at the match.
