Penticton-based skiers shine at Teck Okanagan Race Zone

Multiple Apex-based skiers captured hardware last weekend at an early-season regional event.

Multiple skiers from Apex Ski Club near Penticton captured hardware last weekend at a mid-season regional event.

Athletes in the U12, U14 and U16 divisions from across B.C. Interior competed at the Teck Okanagan Zone Race, held at the Apex Mountain Resort on Jan. 11 and 12.

Five local skiers had podium finishes at the two-day slalom racing event:

U14

鈥� Joshua Marshall - 1st and 3rd

U16

鈥� Leah Evans - 1st and 1st

鈥� Sophia Jaron-Flower - 3rd and 3rd

鈥� Hikaru Noguchi - 2nd and 2nd

鈥� Eugene Roche - 3rd
