For the 91大黄鸭 sports scene, the flip of the calendar might just be what the local teams are looking for as they all try to turn a new leaf.

91大黄鸭 Rockets

The 91大黄鸭 Rockets are looking to bring an end to their six-game losing streak this weekend as they take on the Kamloops Blazers and Vancouver Giants.

On Friday, Jan. 3, 91大黄鸭 takes on the Blazers in Kamloops at the Sandman Centre with puck drop at 7 p.m. The following night, the team returns home to welcome the Giants to Prospera Place at 6:05 p.m.

Going into the weekend, the Rockets sit one point out of the playoffs with a record of 13-17-2-1. Kamloops (13-18-3-0) is 10th in the Western Conference, but also has 29 points like 91大黄鸭. Vancouver sits seventh at 17-14-4-0.

After this weekend, it's possible this Rockets looks quite a bit different as the WHL trade deadline is set for Thursday, Jan. 9 at 5 p.m. 

West 91大黄鸭 Warriors

Coming off a Dec. 28 win against one of the best teams in the BCHL, the West 91大黄鸭 Warriors return to action this weekend. 

The team will travel up Highway 97 on Friday to take on the Vernon Vipers at Kal Tire Place. Puck drop is at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, the Warriors return to the home ice and welcome the Spruce Grove Saints to Royal LePage Place. Puck drop is also at 7 p.m.

These three teams sit eighth, ninth, and 10th in the BCHL's Interior Conference:

• Spruce Grove (8th) - 13-14-2-0 (28 points);
• West 91大黄鸭 (9th) - 10-14-5-2 (27 points);
• Vernon (10th) - 9-15-5-0 (23 points).

91大黄鸭 Chiefs

It's an one game week and an unusual Sunday faceoff for the 91大黄鸭 Chiefs in their first game of 2025.

Sitting last in the Bill Ohlhausen Division with a record of 9-16-0-3, the Chiefs welcome the Revelstoke Grizzlies to Rutland Arena on Jan. 5. The Grizzlies are second in the division with a record of 21-3-0-2.
