The 91大黄鸭 Chiefs ended the Sicamous Eagles' winning streak with a 4-2 final score Friday, Jan. 17.

Under new head coach Shawn Webb, the Sicamous Eagles' six-game winning streak came to an end when the lower ranked 91大黄鸭 Chiefs took Friday night's game 4-2 in the KIJHL.

The Eagles (20-9-5-0) hosted the Chiefs (12-16-1-3) on Jan. 17 when the visiting team led from the beginning with Aiden Morcom capitalizing on a mid-frame power play, assisted by Owen Miller. Jonah Kaiser furthered the lead with Jake Kessler picking up the assist, leaving the Eagles shut out in the first.

Sicamous rallied in the second as Hunter Fuoco rippled the twine in his fifth regular season goal, with Alexander Leskiw the assist. At 10:28, however, Matt Fraser tipped the scales in favour of the Chiefs, scoring what would be the game winner, unassisted.

The Eagles narrowed the gap when Carson Callon scored, with Tristen Bailey and Tysen Anderson collecting assists to put the game 3-2 heading into the final frame. The Chiefs got the last word at 3:51 of the third when Luke Rishaug buried the puck with his 15th of the campaign.

Michael Makowsky stopped 34 shots in net for the Chiefs, while Gabe Bergeron blocked 25 tries on net for the Eagles before being replaced halfway through the third by Kael Svenson, who deflected all four shots against.

Both teams are back on the ice tonight, Jan. 18, with the Eagles in Revelstoke facing off against the second place Grizzlies, while the Chiefs host the Kamloops Storm. The puck drops at 7 p.m. in both games.
