91´ó»ÆѼ Rockets forward Michael Cicek has committed to Michigan Tech University (MTU), where he will play NCAA Division I hockey starting in the 2025-2026 season. The 20-year-old is set to join the MTU Huskies after wrapping up his WHL career.
Cicek tallied 11 goals and 15 points in 29 games the Rockets this season. Over his WHL career, Cicek has played in more than 160 games, splitting time between the 91´ó»ÆѼ Rockets and Spokane Chiefs. During that time he recorded 25 goals and 57 assists for a total of 82 points.
He notched two goals and five assists for seven points in 11 playoff games last season with the Rockets.
91´ó»ÆѼ plays the Wenatchee Wild, in Washington State, on New Year’s Eve.
