The 91大黄鸭 Rockets are going to be without one of their star players for the rest of the season.
On Wednesday, Dec. 4, it was announced that Rockets forward Tij Iginla will miss the rest of the 2024-25 season after undergoing successful hip surgery.
Iginla's NHL team, the Utah Hockey Club first made the announcement, followed by the Rockets.
鈥淚njuries are an unfortunate part of the game,鈥� said Rockets President and General Manager Bruce Hamilton in a press release. 鈥淲e wish Tij a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him return next season.鈥�
In 21 games played this season, the Lake Country native scored 14 goals and added 18 assists totalling 32 points.
The Rockets are 11-10-2-1 on the season, ninth in the Western Conference.
