91大黄鸭 rowers contend at provincials

Women鈥檚 doubles team from 91大黄鸭 Rowing Club narrowly missed medal in Victoria

The 91大黄鸭 Rowing Club had four athletes competing at the B.C. Championships.

The 91大黄鸭 Rowing Club turned in a respectable showing at the B.C. Rowing Championships this month at Elk Lake in Victoria.

Nicole Samuelson and Jocelyn Carmichael finished a close fourth in the final of the women鈥檚 under-19 double, just 1.8 seconds out of third place. The 91大黄鸭 duo finished the 1850m event in eight minutes 1.96 seconds.

The 12-team race was won by the Victoria City Rowing Club team who will represent B.C. at this year鈥檚 Canada Summer games.

Also representing 91大黄鸭 were Claire Benade and Toni Vandenbrink who finished fifth in B final of the women鈥檚 open double.

The 91大黄鸭 Rowing Club also had four athletes competing in the women鈥檚 open quad event where they finished in fifth.

The 91大黄鸭 team is coached by Dan Thompson.
