For the eighth time in his career, 91大黄鸭鈥檚 Joachim Nierfeld will represent Canada in international tennis.
Nierfeld and his Canadian teammates will compete at the 2018 Young Seniors World Team Championships, Oct. 21 to 26 in Miami Beach, Florida.

鈥淚鈥檓 real excited to be representing for Canada to play in team tennis event,鈥 said Nierfeld. 鈥淚t鈥檚 always fun and super competitive to play with players representing many different countries.鈥
Joachim Nierfeld, a 48-year-old tennis pro and coach, will serve as Canada鈥檚 team captain for the third time.
鈥淚t鈥檚 an honour to be selected as a captain,鈥 he said. 鈥淭hey trust you to make the call and make strategic decisions throughout the play.鈥
At the last Young Seniors World Team Championships, under Nierfeld鈥檚 leadership, Team Canada finished a solid third place out of 23 nations.
鈥淚鈥檓 hoping we get a seeding, which will enable us to play for the first to sixth spots again,鈥 said Nierfeld. 鈥淭op six will be our goal.鈥
Nierfield鈥檚 Canadian teammates are Julien Heine, Ben Hoo and 鈥嶢ndrew Oxner, who Nierfeld won the nationals doubles title with last summer.
