The Okanagan Gynmastics Centre's acrobatic team brought home its share of medals from the National Acro Cup in Oakville, ON.

Coaches Shawna Peters and Maddi Arnold were accompanied by 14 athletes for the final event of the season.

Sadie Mamchur and Jackson Peters won gold in the 12-18 age group with a combined score from Balance Dynamic and Combined routines.

Erica Sproule and Shaylyn To won gold overall in Women鈥檚 Pair Level 11-16.

Emma Beselt and Courtney MacDonald won silver in Women鈥檚 Pair Level 11-16

Megan Bailie, Kirsty Marshall and Brie-Lynn Sargeant came in fourth overall in Women鈥檚 Group Level 11-16.

Sara Ross and Ava Clark won a bronze medal in Women鈥檚 Pair level 7.

Charli Hall and Kirsty Marshall came in fourth in Women鈥檚 Pair level 7.

Megan Bailie and Brie-Lynn Sargeant came in fifth in Women鈥檚 Pair level 7.

Jade Nyrose and Jacob Wong won gold overall in Mixed Pair level 7.

Shawna Peters was "very proud of each team as they worked very hard throughout the season over coming injuries and fears. Each team saw a steady increase in their personal scores as the season continued.鈥�

Other meets they attended were the Vegas Fly Classic in February and the Texas State Championship in April.

Ogopogo Invitational

The Okanagan Gymnastics Centre is hosting its largest artistic gymnastics event of the season this weekend at Royal LePage Place, the Ogopogo Invitational. Athletes from across B.C. and Alberta will be competing.

Competition runs from Friday through Sunday, beginning at 8:30 a.m. each day.

Acro gymnasts will also be performing.

Tickets are $10 for adults, or $20 for the weekend. Youth aged 5 to 16 are $5 per day and $10 for the weekend, while children under 5 are admitted free.
