Penticton Vees goaltenders Will Ingemann and Andrew Ness have teamed up to win a year-end BCHL award.
The rookie duo captured the Wally Forslund Trophy, awarded annually to the netminders who combined to post the league’s best goals-against average (GAA) during the regular season.
Ingemann and Ness combined for a 2.05 GAA, and .915 save percentage in
The two also combined for eight shutouts en route to winning the award.
This marks the third season in a row that Vees netminders have won the award and the ninth time in the last 11 years.
Ingemman and Ness have alternated starts during the 2024 BCHL Playoffs, which has seen Penticton advance to the Interior Conference Finals. The team will battle the Salmon Arm Silverbacks in the third-round series for the second consecutive year.
The first game of the series is set for Thursday, May 2, at the South Okanagan Events Centre.
