Young Salmon Arm figure skaters enjoyed a successful outing in Kamloops for the Okanagan Interclub Competition.

Hosted by the Valleyview Skating Club at McArthur Island Park Nov. 22-24, the event was open to all levels of figure skaters from the Okanagan Region, including a contingent from the Salmon Arm Skating Club. 

Local skaters were earned 15 medals at the event, including a podium sweep for Star 5 Artistic, along with numerous ribbons and many personal bests. See the results below. 

Next up for the club is its annual Winter Carnival, taking place at 6 p.m. at Rogers Rink  on Friday, Dec. 13. Many of the skaters talented skaters who took part in the recent competition will be featured in the club's rendition of Greetings from New York. Admission by donation, and there will be a raffle with prize baskets to be won.
