The 91大黄鸭 Sun Devils play their last home game prior to provincials tonight against the Vernon Canadians. First pitch at Edith Gay Park is 5:30 p.m.

With nine regular season games left to play, the Sun Devils (23-6) continue to lead the B.C. 18U AAA standings by 4 1/2 games over the Victoria Eagles.

91大黄鸭 is coming off a four-game split with North Fraser in Burnaby against the Nationals.

In Saturday鈥檚 opener, the Sun Devils slugged their way to a 19-8 win. Jackson Sowerby and Kurtis Wall had huge games at the plate, with four hits and three RBIs apiece.

Gavin Barrett started and went 4 1/3 innings for his sixth win.

Game 2 saw the Nats rebound with a 9-8 win, as 91大黄鸭 committed seven errors.

Offensively, Wall had another big game with four hits, including a triple and a home run.

Nathan Ringness-Law took to the hill, went 4 2/3 innings and allowed no earned runs but left the game with a no decision.

On Sunday, the Sun Devils opened with a 6-4 win.

Jay Taylor (3-0) picked up his third win of the season going five strong innings, while Jordan Laidlaw picked up the save going 2 innings and allowing no earned runs.

Offensively, the Sun Devils had just five hits, but got a boost from Jaimes Guidon and Dreyton Nelmes who each had three stolen bases.

In the series finale, 91大黄鸭 committed five errors in a 12-6 loss.

鈥淥ur defense has been solid all year, just one of those weekends where the bounces don鈥檛 go your way, just a minor set back,鈥� said Sun Devils coach Rob Law.

Noah Ringness-Law, Jackson Sowerby, Alex Thompson and Matt Fuchs each had couple of hits in the loss, while Ringness-Law swiped three bases.
