The Vernon Vipers celebrate after an impressive 6-1 victory over the West 91大黄鸭 Warriors on Saturday night.

After getting shutout on Friday night, the Vernon Vipers rebounded on Saturday, throttling West 91大黄鸭, 6-1.

The six goals were a season-high for a Vipers (5-8-3) team that has struggled to string together consistent performances.

Vernon scored four times in the opening frame, as Lucas Brennan, Cooper Cleaves, Georgios Stavrianeas and Erik Pastro all found the back of the net and through Warrior goalie Jack Lisson, who was making his first BCHL start

In the second, West 91大黄鸭's Sam LeDrew got the home squad on the board with his eighth of the season on the power-play.

Cleaves and Shea Busch tallied on two more for the Vipers in the third, to wrap up the 6-1 victory. Vernon's Marko Bilic made 27 saves for his second victory of the season, while West 91大黄鸭's Lisson took his first loss of the year.

Vernon is back in action at home on Friday, Nov. 8, when the Trail Smoke Eaters come to town. West 91大黄鸭 (4-8-2-1) will be back at home on Tuesday, Nov. 5 to face the Penticton Vees.
