A pair of new defencemen will be manning the blue line for the West 91大黄鸭 Warriors this season.
Jack Farrell and Trey Ausmus were both signed to the BCHL club this week.
鈥淏oth Jack and Trey are two players who we have tracked over the past few seasons,鈥 said Warriors General Manager and Head Coach Simon Ferguson, who added that Farrell was first identified as a potential Warrior at a development camp in Boston two years ago.
Farrell had 29 points in 28 games last season for the Governor鈥檚 Academy in U.S. Prep League hockey, his third season with the team and first wearing the 鈥楥鈥.
鈥淚鈥檓 really excited for the opportunity to play for West 91大黄鸭 and be a part of the community,鈥 said Farrell, 鈥淚t鈥檚 a great organization that will further my development and elevate my game to the next level. I am looking forward to working with the coaching staff and can鈥檛 wait to get started.鈥
Ausmus has spent his last two seasons with the Madison Capitals of the United States Hockey League, posting 17 points in 19 games.
鈥淚鈥檝e heard that West 91大黄鸭 is one of the best places to play in the BCHL,鈥 commented Ausmus, 鈥淚 am extremely excited to join the Warriors this season and have a chance to come out to Western Canada and continue my hockey career there.鈥
