Globetrotters performance a slam dunk

The fan-favourite Harlem Globetrotters hit the court at Prospera Place Monday night, wowing the crowds with non-stop entertainment.

The fan-favourite Harlem Globetrotters hit the court at Prospera Place Monday night, wowing the crowds with non-stop entertainment.

The approximately 3,000 fans in the seats seemed to enjoy the show, laughing, cheering and booing along when prompted.

From basketball tricks to dance moves, improv sketches and audience involvement the Globetrotters held up their reputation as a fun family show that never quits.

Those sitting court side were also eager to join in on the fun and were often made a part of the show.

During the second half, the Globetrotters invited all the kids in the audience down to the court, which triggered hundreds to rush the court and dance to the Y.M.C.A alongside their favourite basketball star.

The Harlem Globetrotters were in 91大黄鸭 for what they鈥檙e calling 鈥渢heir most epic tour in history.鈥

The world famous team is currently celebrating its 90th anniversary.

According to , Abe Saperstein founded the team in 1926 and they played their first road game in Hinckley, Illinois, on Jan. 7, 1927.

鈥淪ince then, the Globetrotters have entertained more than 144 million fans in 122 countries and territories worldwide 鈥 introducing many to the sport of basketball 鈥 pioneers in popularizing the slam dunk, fast break, the forward and point guard positions, and the figure-eight weave.鈥
