How do you pronounce Guisachan?

That鈥檚 a question one couple posed to a in hopes of ending a long standing debate.

91大黄鸭 has Guisachan Road and Guisachan Place, and the well-known Guisachan House, a heritage home in South Pandosy. The house was built by Lord Aberdeen and named by his wife. Guisachan is Gaelic meaning 鈥榩lace of the fir鈥�.

This question sparked dozens of comments in the subreddit, with many suggesting varied pronunciations such as 鈥淕ucci gang鈥� and 鈥済oo-sha-gin鈥� while others made fun of the various ways they鈥檝e heard it said.

One user wrote, 鈥淢y GPS pronounces it guy-sa-khan which is not even close to right.鈥�

While another stated, 鈥淢y friend said gwee-sah-chan one time as a joke and now I can鈥檛 stop pronouncing it like that.鈥�

鈥淢y wife and I just call it Gustavo,鈥� commented a clever couple.

Other commenters took the question a little more seriously.

鈥淕uisachan is the Gaelic word for pine forest. Yoush- a Gan,鈥� was the most factual response by one user.
