A fire has broken out at one of the homes in a Vernon trailer park.
Witnesses report seeing flames coming from the walls of a trailer in Big Chief RV Park in the 5000 block of 25th Avenue Thursday around 12:30 p.m.
Vernon Fire Rescue Services (VFRS) is on scene taking care of the blaze, which is believed to be contained to the one unit.
VFRS responded to structure fire in South Vernon Thursday afternoon.
"Upon arrival, firefighters were able to confirm a fire in a mobile home," said the city in a release. "Crews quickly gained entry, actioning the fire, limiting the fire damage to a single room in the home."
The occupants of the home are believed to be away for the weekend. A neighbour reports they left earlier Thursday morning.
