The Celebration of Queer and Trans Joy was hosted in the commons area of 91大黄鸭's Rotary Centre for the Arts on Sept. 22.
Put on by Advocacy Canada, people came out to enjoy performances, guest speakers, and a few activities.
"It's really important for us to come together to realize we do have allies, we do have friends and we have a family here in 91大黄鸭 that is willing to support and love everyone," said Graham Shonfield, master of ceremonies for the event.
Several local organizations had booths set up to welcome and educate the community.
The event was put on from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and open to everyone.
