JoeAnna鈥檚 House in 91大黄鸭 is ready to welcome the community for its inaugural Winter Wonderland on Dec. 17.

鈥淧icture an afternoon filled with laughter and comfort, where our community comes together for a time where love knows no distance,鈥� said Darlene Haslock, director of JoeAnna鈥檚 House. 鈥淭hat鈥檚 what we鈥檙e aiming for this year with Winter Wonderland 鈥� a peek into JoeAnna鈥檚 House and an afternoon of warmth and joy during this holiday season 鈥� no matter what the temperature is outside.鈥�

The Winter Wonderland event will include food trucks and hot chocolate, winter crafts, street hockey, a small market, and a visit from Santa. Entry is by donation with tickets available to purchase for the various activities. All funds raised will go directly back to the facility.

鈥淥ur community is special because of our ability to work together, and JoeAnna鈥檚 House is a testament to that,鈥� said Karl Johnston, general manager of the event sponsor Pattison Media, Okanagan. 鈥淔or regional patients who require emergency or specialized medical care at KGH and need to travel to 91大黄鸭, JoeAnna鈥檚 House is an invaluable resource for their families and loved ones.鈥�

JoeAnna鈥檚 House provides the comforts of home while people receive care at 91大黄鸭 General Hospital. The facility is said to have helped more than 1,900 families since opening in 2019.

The Winter Wonderland will take place from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
