Launch Okanagan's Dollars and Sense program is an eight-week free online course for those who want to learn about controlling their finances.

As the calendar flips from the holiday season, finances can cause stress to many individuals.

But now is your chance to learn how to best control and manage your expenses as Launch Okanagan is offering their Dollars and Sense program, which is an eight-week money management course for those wanting to better understand everyday financial matters.

鈥淭he Dollars and Sense program is suited for anyone that wants to improve their financial situation and learn strategies on how to manage their money more effectively,鈥 said Launch Okanagan executive director Jennifer Robins. 鈥淧ast participants have had a wide range of knowledge, diverse backgrounds, and different experiences with money. We welcome everyone. Regardless of background, many things that impact our financial lives are outside our control."

The course is every Tuesday for eight weeks starting on Jan. 14 over Zoom. Some of the course instructors range from certified financial planners and will cover budgeting, saving and investing, credit and debit management, consumerism, and your personal relationship with money.

Each lesson runs from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and the program is open to anyone interested. People who sign up can even remain anonymous if they choose.

Registration is available at  or by contacting Launch Okanagan at info@launchokanagan.ca
