Beginning Monday, May 30, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., motorists can expect delays along Pandosy Street from K.L.O. Road to Royal Avenue for road resurfacing.
There is also a planned closure of Pandosy Street鈥檚 northbound lane beginning Sunday evening, June 12. Southbound traffic and emergency access to the hospital will be maintained throughout the project.
There will be no access to Pandosy Street from side roads within the project limits while paving occurs between Tuesday, June 14 and Friday, June 17. During this time, motorists will be able to access Pandosy Street via K.L.O. and Cadder roads.
Weather dependent, completion is expected by Friday, June 17.
Motorists are encouraged to use Richter Street as an alternate route. Traffic control personnel will be on site directing traffic and every effort will be made to minimize disruptions for motorists, residents and businesses.
This project is one of the 11 road segments included this year in the City鈥檚 annual Pavement Management Program, which prioritizes the repair of city roads.
The road treatment that will occur on Pandosy Street is referred to as a 鈥渕ill and fill.鈥 This treatment option can extend the life of the road by 20 years and eliminates the effects of tire ruts and asphalt movement that occur over time.
