Put on your ugliest sweater and bring along a toy to donate this Thursday, Dec. 21. Clancy鈥檚 Pub and Green Light Cannabis are putting on an ugly sweater Christmas party and toy drive to support SOWINS.

Patrons are invited to bring along a toy or to make a donation to the South Okanagan Women In Need Society. Prizes are also available for people who come in wearing their ugliest sweaters.

The event was put together by the bar鈥檚 new operators to celebrate the season after they took over in October.

鈥淲e wanted to do something nice for our first Christmas and do something to give back to the community in general, especially at this time of year,鈥� said Jody Brown, one of the new operators.

Once they started looking for a way to give back, conversations with staff at Clancy鈥檚 gave them a perfect organization to support.

鈥淥ne of our servers just came up and told me, 鈥榃hy don鈥檛 you do SOWINS鈥�, so I looked it up and I thought it was great,鈥� said Brown. 鈥淥nce I saw the cause it was kind of a no-brainer.鈥�

The Ugly Sweater Party kicks off at 7 p.m. on Dec. 21 at Clancy鈥檚 on Martin Street.
