Nick and Jane Parsons are once again offering people a chance to pick up a pumpkin and support a local food bank in the process.

Pumpkin Festival returns to the Parsons’ Green Acres farm at 1050 60th St. SW in Gleneden on Sunday, Oct. 22.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with outdoor games, treats and pumpkins – about 700 to choose from.

Entry is by donation to the Second Harvest Food Bank. Recommended are donations of $5 to $10 per pumpkin.
