Three things will soon come together at the Penticton Art Gallery: art, soup and bowls.

The 27th annual edition of Soup Bowls returns to the venue on Thursday, Nov. 8 and Sunday, Nov. 13, from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

Get your hands on the creations crafted by the Penticton and Summerland Potters鈥 Guild in support of the art gallery.

Along with being a fundraiser, the popular event will also serve as a culinary competition.

The two-day event 鈥 already sold out for Thursday, Nov. 8 鈥 typically features hundreds of bowls and thousands of dollars raised for the programs at the gallery.

After picking out your favourite bowl, those in attendance can expect to sample between 10 to 12 soups.

The night will feature a competition between local restaurants, caterers, and organizations in 鈥渁 friendly fight for people鈥檚 choice of best soup on each night,鈥 organizers write.

Social膿 Ristorante, Highway 97 Brewing Company, Slackwater Brewing, Gratify, Neighbourhood OROLO, The Bench Market, Friends of the Gallery Donna Falk & Sharron Brown, Stillfood Bistro, Pasta Factory, and Friend of the Gallery Stephano Liapis are will be whipping up delicious soups on Sunday.

Highway 97 Brewing will provide some beers on Sunday, Tightrope Winery will once again be pouring vino, and Petrasek Bakery will be providing the baked goods.

Representatives from the gallery have not yet announced the Sunday, Nov. 12, event as 鈥渟old out.鈥

Along with bowls, the event will also see people walk away with a soup recipe book.

With Thursday sold out, tickets for Sunday can be purchased
