Some of Western Canada鈥檚 best drifters are taking their talents to the Penticton Speedway this weekend.
Victoria-based Capital Drift is bringing its popular drifting competition on July 1 and 2, marking the first event of its kind to come to the local track since 2019.
鈥淔rom intense tandem battles to awe-inspiring solo runs, the event promises to push the boundaries of what鈥檚 possible on the track, leaving fans on the edge of their seats,鈥 a press release reads.
The sport鈥檚 top drivers will hit the track starting at 4 p.m., with action set to end at 10 p.m. on both days.
Capital Drift is the premier drifting series in the Victoria area.
The event itself is considered an invitational and people can register to participate on June 30.
For fans, gates to the venue open at noon.
Tickets are $15.
The speedway鈥檚 next event after Canada Day weekend is set for July 15, with Hornets, Legends, Street Stocks, and Hit-to-Pass on the slate.
