Timeless glamour. Modern magic.
Throw in two fabulous singers and the Okanagan Valley's newest and hottest show band, and, well, what a night you will have.
You can step into the dazzling world of Broadway Lights, Vegas Nights Thursday, May 1, at the Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre at 7:30 p.m.
Depicting classic characters and their stories in a bold, contemporary way, Broadway Lights, Vegas Nights showcases the captivating chemistry of a silky crooner – Neville Bowman – and a soaring soprano – Melina Schein – creating a one-of-a-kind vocal dynamic that delivers thrilling, unforgettable moments.
The pair is backed by that hot, new show band – the Manhattan Skyline Orchestra – a group that unites the region’s finest musicians, including Juno Award winners and nationally acclaimed stars, for an extraordinary 18-piece big band experience.
"This electrifying production re-imagines the timeless glamour of Las Vegas with the theatrical flair of Broadway, blending nostalgia with cutting-edge pizzazz," said Schein. "It slices, it dices, it croons, it belts. It’s the one-night-only musical spectacular that combines big band brass, Broadway sass, and just enough jazz to keep the room spinning."
With bold arrangements of iconic songs, innovative multimedia elements, and a repertoire that spans Sinatra-era swing to contemporary Broadway showstoppers, Broadway Lights, Vegas Nights is a feast for the eyes and ears.
The Manhattan Skyline Orchestra brings the shimmering skyline of NYC to life alongside the golden glow of the Vegas Strip, seamlessly fusing old-school charm with modern innovation.
"Side effects may include toe-tapping, swooning, light flirtation, and spontaneous key changes," warned Schein.
