The West 91大黄鸭 Warriors bounced back to beat the Trail Smoke Eaters 3-1 at Cominco Arena on Saturday (Oct. 5) night.

West 91大黄鸭 was beaten 8-2 by Trail the night before. It was well into the second period Saturday night before Eliot Compton (1) scored on the power play to put the Warriors up 1-0 at the 17:56 mark. Dylan Krayer and Frankie D鈥橝ncona had the assists. 

The Warriors made it 2-0 at 14:14 of the third period on a power play goal by Sam Lewdrew (2). Jackson Krykostas and Elias Callgren assisted. Just over a minute later, Dylan Lariviere (2) got one back for the Smoke Eaters making it 2-1. West 91大黄鸭鈥檚 Callum Hughes (3) scored his third of the season into an empty net for the 3-1 win.

Warriors goaltender Dawson Labre stopped 23 of 24 for his second win of the season. West 91大黄鸭 outshot Trail 34/24 and was 1/4 on the power play. 

West 91大黄鸭 is on the road next week with a game against the Vernon Vipers on Oct. 11 and the Salmon Arm Silverbacks on Oct. 12. Their next home game is Oct. 15 against the Chilliwack Chiefs.
