Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser back in 91大黄鸭

The event raises money to those experiencing homelessness

91大黄鸭鈥檚 Coldest Night of the Year event to raise money for those experiencing homelessness takes place on Saturday, Feb. 24. (Coldest Night of the Year)

More than 500 people are going to walk downtown 91大黄鸭 to try and make a difference on Saturday night, Feb. 24.

Hosted by Metro Community, the Coldest Night of the Year is an annual event where people get together to walk, donate, and collect donations to help those experiencing homelessness.

Saturday鈥檚 event starts with check-in at 4 p.m. followed by the walk at 5 p.m., which takes off at 1262 St. Paul Street. The event comes to an end at 7 p.m.

There are currently 461 walkers, 68 teams, and nine volunteers registered for the event.

As of Tuesday morning (Feb. 20), Metro has raised $88,546, which is 59 per cent of their goal of $150,000.
