West 91´ó»ÆѼ’s first purpose-built city hall opened in May.

It marked the culmination of the transition from the Mount Boucherie Community Centre (MBCC), the temporary city hall since 2009.
Construction on the building began in September 2021.

The project was not without problems, It was over budget, was subject to months-long construction delays, and the city was named in a civil claim over the new building. The approximate cost of the new city hall was $22.79 million, up from the original budget $18 million.

The facility, at 3731 Old Okanagan Highway, houses the city’s administrative functions and enhance public services. It is also home to an Okanagan Regional Library branch, local MP and MLA’s offices, and Service BC and ICBC.
