DriveBC is warning of compact snow and slippery sections on Highway 97 in parts of the South Okanagan on Saturday, Jan. 11.
The provincial road service is warning of winter conditions for 32.2 kilometres, between White Lake Road north of Okanagan Falls and Bridgeman Road in Summerland.
Its warning comes after periods of light snow in the region on Friday evening, Jan. 10.
Environment Canada says there's a 30 per cent chance of flurries on Saturday in Penticton, with temperatures expected to hover around 0 C.
Around the region, DriveBC is warning of slippery sections on Highway 3A — between Kaleden Junction and Green Mountain Road — and on Highway 3 between Hedley and 20 kilometres west of Osoyoos.
Motorists are also asked to watch for the conditions on Highway 3 through Osoyoos, between 89th Street and Wagon Wheel Road.
RCMP said this week that ice contributed to a fatal crash on Jan. 6, east of Osoyoos.
It marked the second fatal crash on Highway 3 in three days.
