A 91大黄鸭 gamer is helping out the community by fundraising and donating to the Central Okanagan Food Bank (COFB).

Dylan St. Onge, through his gaming page Destination Gaming TV, launched the fundraiser on April 2.

He said he鈥檚 donating all the proceeds from the month of April to the COFB to help members of the community who were hit hard by the current COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, he will also donate five cents per like and share on all his posts, including his live gaming streams, to the food bank.

鈥淪ome people might not be in a position to donate 鈥� and this gives them the ability to contribute through something as simple as liking and sharing my posts in April,鈥� St. Onge said.

鈥淚 know five cents might not seem like a lot in the short run, but your share can help put this in front of someone else who might share or contribute.鈥�

St. Onge said he鈥檚 lucky he still has work and has full-time hours.

鈥淚 still get paid and have full-time hours. I work for a great company鈥� but many people are not so lucky. This is a time when we really need to come together and give help where we can,鈥� he said.

鈥淚 just really wanted to give back to people who are in more need than I am.鈥�

He said he鈥檒l count the likes and shares on his Facebook page and figure out how much he鈥檒l add to the funds he raised.

鈥淭here鈥檚 so much negativity going on around right now and I just wanted to bring some positivity to those who are in need. Everyone鈥檚 super stressed out right now but there鈥檚 a light at the end of the tunnel and this is one of those times that everyone needs to pull together, especially as a community,鈥� St. Onge said.
