RCMP School Liaison Officer, Const. Robyn Boffy, joined forces with students of the 91大黄鸭 Secondary School Leadership 11 class to issue tickets to teen drivers over a lunch hour at KSS.

As part of National Teen Driver Safety Week, 91大黄鸭 RCMP School Liaison Officer, Const. Boffy conducted an impromptu roadblock on Oct. 18 in the parking lot of the 91大黄鸭 Secondary School.

Const. Boffy partnered with students from the KSS Grade 11 Leadership Class who helped the officer issue Positive Tickets to teen drivers found to be driving in a safe manner by choosing to do such things as leave their phone alone or wear their seatbelt.

Parachute is a National Charitable Organization that is dedicated to preventing injuries and saving lives. Parachute鈥檚 primary focus this year is distracted driving, said  Boffy, in a press relase.  Teens who received a positive ticket are eligible to enter their name into a draw where they have a chance to win prizes from various sponsors.

A large group of KSS Grade 11 Leadership students also took the initiative to write important safety messages to their peers in chalk on the sidewalks leading form the high school to the student parking lot.

Some of those messages included, Drive Safe and Hands Free.
