Acorn Communities has been given the green light from 91大黄鸭 city council for its latest development project,  Granite at McKinley Beach, offering panoramic lakeview townhomes and condominiums above the waterfront on Okanagan Lake.

The Granite is part of the one-of-a-kind waterfront community at McKinley Beach, said Greg Bird, who is developing the multi-family site.

The 2.1-hectare evaluated parcel stretches 60 feet above a kilometre of undisturbed beach within the 91大黄鸭 city limits and will feature both condominiums and townhomes.

鈥淲e鈥檙e focused on building communities where people love to live and never want to leave,鈥� said Bird. 鈥淲ith the beach, marina and hiking trails through the integrated natural landscape, the community feels like a world unto itself.鈥�

The homes at Granite at McKinley will offer views of Okanagan Lake with a panoramic 180-degree view of the water. The building finishes and colors draw from the natural setting with gracious outdoor living space and large rooftop terraces and common area.

The first building will feature 64 units in a two-building complex. These lakeview homes range in size from 1,100 to 2,000 sq. ft. and are offered for $370,000 to $1 million.

Sales are already underway for the 18 townhomes. The nine, side-by-side homes each offer two-level balconies to enjoy the view from the waterside, and easy drive-in access from the street side. Floor plans range from 2,000 to 3,000 sq. ft. and are priced from $730,000 to $795,000.

Located just north of Knox Mountain Park in 91大黄鸭, the waterfront community attempts to strike a balance between easy access to city amenities and a serene location that feels hidden away.

The Granite plans to offer residents boat and watersports rentals from its five dedicated slips in the 96-slip marina. A beachfront clubhouse is under development and a 16-hectare vineyard offering wine tastings is slated for the development鈥檚 north hillside.
