Plane makes emergency landing in 91大黄鸭

A plane en route to Vancouver from Cranbrook had to be diverted to 91大黄鸭, Thursday night.

The pilot of the Pacific Coastal Airline noticed a warning indicator light and followed emergency protocol, diverting the plane to 91大黄鸭.

Jasmine Patrick with the 91大黄鸭 International Airport (YLW) says following safety procedures emergency response teams were dispatched and the aircraft landed safely at approximately 6:25 p.m.

The 30 passengers on board were escorted off the the plane and into the terminal.

Pacific Coastal Airlines spokesperson Janelle Hynes says the aircraft was moved to a separate location and a mechanic was brought in to investigate.

鈥淎 recovery flight was brought in to take the passengers the rest of the way to Vancouver,鈥 she explained. 鈥淓veryone seemed in good spirits and we kept the passengers informed as to what was happening.鈥

The recovery flight took off about 9 p.m. and those who missed connecting flights were put up in hotels in Vancouver for the night.

Hynes says there was no smoke or fire on board at anytime during the incident.
